Hello, I'm Aaron Kershaw
My professional experiences are as diverse as my writing. From mastering the art of towing (I was a Marine Corps driver) and photography (Learned in Middle School) to producing a weekly radio program (Learned in High School). My career has been rooted in self learning, resilience, problem-solving, and forging meaningful connections with people.
I started BuildingBlocs Literacy (BBL) because I believe education is the foundation for growth, not just academically, but in life.
I saw a gap in accessible, practical resources that teach essential skills like emotional intelligence, financial literacy, and personal growth.

During my time with the 24 MEU we trained with many units. These are members of the French Foreign Legion, I have one of their Berets somewhere.. lol. Good Times

As the founder and CEO/Executive Director of BuildingBlocs, he has channeled a deep-seated commitment to service into empowering underprivileged communities through education and financial empowerment.
His formative years in youth organizations like the Boys and Girls Clubs and the Boy Scouts of America laid a solid foundation of duty and community service.
Early Career & Community Engagement
Aaron’s professional journey began in business management at a young age, rapidly ascending to managerial roles in Dominos and gaining a robust understanding of corporate operations and efficiency.
His significant impact at organizations like Habitat for Humanity of Westchester and Guiding Eyes for the Blind was marked by successful media campaigns and Video learning series that enhanced community engagement and fundraising.
Media Production & Marketing Expertise
He pioneered one of the first community-oriented websites in Westchester County in 1996, setting a standard for online community engagement.
His broadcasting career at WVOX146AM and 93.5 WRTN FM demonstrated his ability to handle diverse content, from local issues to national political discourse. He is responsible for WVOX Launching their first website and built the technology that streamed its signal, managed website for 10 years.
Strategic Leadership in Financial Education
Aaron B. Kershaw's extensive background as a licensed financial advisor & operations partner has positioned him as a strategic leader in financial education. With a proven track record at Ameriprise Financial Services, Aaron directly contributed to the management of $600 million in Assets Under Management (AUM).
His role involved intricate processes of client onboarding, including Suitability Information Gathering, Account Openings, and Money Movement, showcasing his ability to handle substantial financial responsibilities with precision.
His meticulous attention to detail extended to orchestrating client meeting logistics and preparing Annual Client Reports, ensuring each client received personalized and thorough financial advice.
Aaron's strategic oversight of social media marketing initiatives complied with stringent FINRA regulations, demonstrating his capability to merge compliance with effective marketing strategies. He spearheaded monthly email campaigns that not only retained clients but actively engaged new prospects, thereby expanding the client base.

Aaron earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Management, with a focus on Economics & Finances, from Manhattanville University, graduating in January 2024.
